The beautiful sights of Kediri

Each city in Indonesia has some beautiful sights to see. Each city is proud of them. Kediri is one of the small and famous cities in East-Java. Without any doubt, Kediri is a famous city since long time ago. Kediri was a Hindu kingdom based in East-Java. The historical remnants scattered around Kediri showing that it had played important roles in many eras, and then almost people and East –Java know well about Kediri. Actually, Kediri has many tourist objects, but there are three places of interests such as; Selomangleng hill, Kelud Mountain, and Maria Lourdes cave, which are proper places for refreshing our mind.
Selomangleng hill is one of the favorite tourist objects in Kediri. It provides some natural sights. We see many trees on the hill and surroundings’ hill. There are two interesting places which provide some historical remnants of Kediri kingdom around the Selomangleng hill area. Those are Selomangleng cave and Airlangga museum. Selomangleng cave in Javanese means a cave which stands on the slope of the hill. Selo means rock, mangleng means slope or sideways. Inside this cave we can find many relief which carved all over the wall. This cave was used by Dewi Kilisuci as meditation place. Dewi Kilisuci is Airlangga’s daughter. The Airlangga museum is located near Selomangleng cave. This museum has many kinds of ancient collections, like artifact, ancient inscription, and etc. Many tourists visit Selomangleng hill because this place has some interesting objects, which decrease our exhausted and the natural sights can be inspirations for the visitor.
The next beautiful sight of Kediri is Kelud Mountain. This mountain area is about forty kilometers, and forty-five minutes from Kediri city. Kelud Mountain is volcano and it is one thousand seven hundred thirty meters above sea level. Breezes of fresh air and charming sights make this area more interesting for tourism adventuring and health purpose. Kelud mountain is in strategic place, it is among three regencies such as; Kediri regency, Blitar regency, and Malang regency. Well, the nearest city from this mountain is Kediri regency, it is about forty kilometers. In historical notes, this mountain had erupted twenty-nine times. Kelud mountain has change, it had green crater before explode, but today the beautiful crater is gone and turn up new crater that different from the previous. Then Kelud Mountain has a new face with new dome that comes from the crater, it is more beautiful than before. In Kelud mountain area we can enjoy some activities such as; swimming, jogging, climbing, shady cool plantation, and etc. There is a special warm swimming pool. The warm swimming pool is located near the mountain, the water in this swimming pool is taken from the well spring near the crater, and it relaxes our body. Therefore, many tourists choose this tourist object because it’s enjoyable and its composure.
Another famous tourist object in Kediri is Maria Lourdes cave. It is about six kilometers and about fifteen minutes from Kediri city, it is situated in the west of Kediri city. We can see the height Maria Lourdes statue there, this statue was replica from the highest Maria Lourdes statue at France. Around Maria Lourdes cave area our eyes are spoiled by the natural sights, some antique buildings and many ornaments that can be found there. There are twelve douches around the cave, which are symbolized of twelve catholic’s messengers, and there is a unique old church combining Europe and Majapahit architectures. This old church had built by Ir. Heendricus Maclaine on behalf pioneer Mr. Yohaness Humbertis Wolters CM. Anyway, this place is catholic’s area and it is opened for tourist object, the visitors are not only for the members of catholic, but also for tourists and mankind. Many tourists visit this places because its uniqueness and its preciousness.
In conclusion, all of these tourist object; Selomangleng hill, Kelud Mountain, and Maria Lourdes cave are the interesting places provided by Kediri regency. These are the most visited place. Kediri regency always tries to give a good service for every tourist, and to improve Kediri regency the civil has been evolving the tourist objects in Kediri.

Superb Features in East Java

A lot of countries in the world get their main income from tourism, including Indonesia. My country, Indonesia, is well-known for its wonderful natural beauty, unique people, and traditions. People throughout the world come to Indonesia just to see those features, which they will not find in any other countries. I can proudly say that my country has some of the most beautiful sight you will ever see in nature, people, and traditions, especially in East Java.

First of all, East Java has many beautiful natural objects that are frequently visited by tourists, either domestic or foreign. The dominant natural features in East Java are mountains, beaches, and waterfalls. Bromo Mountain, located in Lumajang, is the most visited mountain in Indonesia which is famous for its magnificent sunrise panorama. The tourists usually ride horses or walk through a broad land of sands up to the crater before dawn in order to watch the golden sun soar behind the clouds and the mountains; that view is remarkably wonderful. From the mountain, we can go down to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, Sendang Biru beach in Malang.  The bay with white smooth sands, translucent calm water where tiny fish swim here and there, some scattered rocks, Sempu Island by the mouth of the bay, and fishermans village make Sendang Biru beach become one of the most visited objects when you come to East Java. Another spot that you should come over to is Coban Rondo waterfall in Batu, where you can enjoy the cool weather around the 60 meters height waterfall. Those three natural tourist object are just few of the whole natural beauty that you can find in East Java, but there are more captivating places that I cannot mention one by one.

Not only in natural beauty, East Java is also renowned for its unique people. Even though the majority is Javanese, but there are also some other ethnic groups in several regions such as Madurese people in Madura Island, Tengger people around Tengger Mountans, and Osing people in Banyuwangi. As Indonesia’s cultural heritage, the variety of ethnic groups is an asset to invite tourists, especially foreign tourists.  A lot of tourists come to certain region just to mingle with the folks there, to take a time off from their daily city life. They want to feel a different atmosphere by living among another ethnic group in which they do not belong to, and that feeling is sometimes indescribable.  Some do that kind of activity while conducting a research about the ethnic life, and some other do that for recreation. Not merely live among the ethnic group, the tourists may also learn everything about the society; the language, the art, the traditions, and many others. Accordingly, the diversity of ethnic groups is also an important allure for the tourism of East Java.

The diversity of ethnic groups leads into numerous traditions; this includes traditional dances. The most famous traditional dance from East Java is Reog Ponorogo. The background story of this dance is about a battle between the army of Kediri and Ponorogo Empire to fight over a princess. The main dancer wears a huge mask resembling the spirit with a head of a tiger and huge peacock-tail crown, while the others wear black costumes resembling the army. This dance is so beautiful and popular that Malaysia claimed it several months ago, alleged that it was their Barongan Dance. Another famed dance is Remo Dance from Jombang, which is usually performed as a welcome dance, accompanied by gamelan music. The most noticeable characteristic of this dance is the dynamic and quick movement of the dancers’ feet, which wear lots of chimes. Those two examples are only a small part of East Java’s traditions. Evidently, the traditions in contribute a large amount of attractions that make this East Java one of Indonesia’s most visited provinces.

From the preceding explanation, I bet even if you spend a whole year in East Java, you will not get bored because you will always have another place to visit, another sight to see, and another fact to discover. You really should come to my province when you visit Indonesia, and find yourself astonished from the start till the very end.

Some Improvements to Make This University Better
In order to be a good institution, improvements and developments are required to fulfill the criteria to be a good university. For example, Universitas Negeri Malang or well-known as UM has made some improvements and developments in various kinds of aspects in order to be a good university. By some developments and improvements made, this 55 year old institution has transformed into a well-developed university. On that very long period, the authorities improved this university based on three main aspects; those are bureaucracy, infrastructures, and human resources. These three aspects are still considered by them to expand our institution because of some reasons.
The first factor is bureaucracy or generally known as administration. Bureaucracy is the collective organizational structure, procedures, protocols, and set of regulations in place to manage activities in such kinds of institution. Bureaucracy is the most important thing that this university should think about. Because it handles everything which related with rules or policies that allowed in this university. Moreover, a simple and well-managed administration inside UM is going to make this body become strong and stable. Since, that kind of bureaucracy ensures UM to control everything that lies under its authorities.
Furthermore, this developing institution needs to consider about facilities inside its authority. Infrastructure is the facilities necessary for some purposes. To construct a well-structured university, UM needs to maximize and improve its facilities not only from the quantity, but also from its quality. As the number of the students in this university is increasing continuously, the authorities should think about the infrastructures quantity to accommodate their students. Also, the developments in quantity have to be followed by its level of quality. Besides, the adequate facilities and infrastructures in UM will make it turn into an independent university. Because, UM will have everything provided to generate its own need.
Lastly, those two aspects described above have to be maintained by excellent human resources inside UM. Meanwhile, in this globalization era, the requirement of good human resources must to be fulfilled by all of the institutions all over the world to compete or, at least, survive among the others. Also, Professor Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “The greatest tragedy in America is not the destruction of our natural resources, though that tragedy is great. The truly great tragedy is the destruction of our human resources by our failure to fully utilize our abilities, which means that most men and women go to their graves with their music still in them.” Because of that reasons, the authorities must have nor a neither some comprehensive selections in order to achieve good human resources. Good human resources will manage this university in a good-managed way.
In conclusion, there are still many other aspects to be watched over besides those three improvements and developments described above. But, three of them are required to be fulfilled by the authorities to assist this university, at least, to compete to be a well-developed university. Then, those improvements and developments will not work well if everyone inside this university doesn’t have the same vision.

The Great Advantages of Speaking More than One Language

In era globalization, everything was changed. As a human being, we have to try to open minded and do not reckon on one way. Everyone wants to be better. They may do all of things that it can make them better. Many aspects can posses in the era-development, for example technology, education, and skill. As we know, technology is also developing till now, so it caused the competition to each other right now. They must competitive to get the additional information. On the other hand, we know that there are many languages in worldwide, for example Indonesian, English, Spanish, and so on. We might be familiar with them, because those give the advantage for us in our life, especially when we communicate with another people. One thing that we need to master it is speaking way. Speaking is necessary for all over people in the world. Without speaking, we do not tell our thought to another people. If we can speak the foreign language, we are able to chat to each other in the worldwide. Communication is the important thing for us, right? Besides that, we can get lots of information from the internet, if we learn to speak another language. Then, in the next advantage, we can get a new job easily, when we are able to speak more than one language. We can also go abroad and take the scholarship. It is because there are many scholarships which emphasize for studying in the foreign country. So, it will make us feel easy in this life. Hence, speaking more than language is a great advantage.

Everyone wants to share their mind with other people. First advantage is we will chat to each other wherever we do, for example in the campus, school, office, public service, and so on. Due to this reason, it may help us to communicate to another people around the world. Even, we also get lots of friendships that make us be popular. It is because some people said that if we try to make friendship with foreign people, we can be popular and get additional information from them, for example we know about the culture and language in certain country. Then, learning another culture is very attracting, because we can compare with our country and also promote our culture in another country through speaking . We certainly get a pride from this and also have already participated to introduce our culture. It is possible if we can also help the government. On other way, many people in wide world know about internet. Internet has relation with speaking, because almost every people can browse the internet. Even, through internet we get information and chat to others people in the world.

Second, consider that speaking also help us to get the better job and also develop our job to be better. As we know, many business that including English or another languages to get a high position. Moreover, in this era, that reason is necessary for the people who are going to get a new job. According to the information that I once got, several offices have already used IELTS or TOEFL for the applicant. Business and commerce are increasingly driven by international trade and if we are going to grow in our job we need to able to follow this trend. On the other hand, we can build a building which is for courses, if we have speaking ability. Besides we can improve our skill, we also get many experiences about how to make speaking to be useful for all people over world.

The next advantage is we can go abroad wherever we want. It means that we might be able to study in foreign country, for example in America, Australia, England, and so on. As we know, many scholarships that include to study in those countries and some people are interesting about that. Even, almost some scholarships also use speaking for the interview, when we want to study in those countries. Speaking into foreign language is the important point to choose which person that is suitable in certain job. In that case, we can see that speaking more than one language is more useful.

In general explanation, speaking more than one language offers us some advantages. We have to realize it, because we are demanded to face in globalization era. Even, we must competitive with others people through speaking. From the explanation above, we get clearly the new things about the advantage of speaking. It can help us to chat with another people in the world, especially communicating to each other, get a new job and develop our job/career, and also go abroad to foreign country. Although every country has different way about speaking, but speaking more than one language brings us to be better in this world.
