The Happiest Occasion

There are some ways to celebrate Independence Day, such as by hold flag ceremony, carnivals,”jalan sehat”, and games. This year, my country celebrated the 64th Anniversary. We always celebrate our Independence Day at august 17 and we always have a flag ceremony in the morning. We celebrate the Independence Day in order to commemorate our heroes’ buffetings in defending our country from the invaders. I always look forward to the Independence Day because I will have an occasion and there are many fascinating things to do. Independence Day always be the happiest occasion because of some reason.
First of all, we always have a big carnival in every city. We usually wear various kinds of costume that reflected the hero or culture from Indonesia. They usually walk around the city while using those costumes. When the carnival is held, the city becomes so crowded, especially the downtown. Many food sellers sell variety of different foods that we cannot find easily in daily life. The streets become colourful because of the carnival participant’s costumes, which are beautiful and unique. The city metamorphoses in to a different city when the carnival is held.
Beside carnival, we also have many games to celebrate the Independence Day. We usually hold the games a week before August 17 and we have so many kinds of games, such as football, volleyball, and many others. In addition, we also has traditional games to rejoice the Independence Day such as “panjat pinang”, “balap kelereng”, “balap karung” and many others. Some of those games are for children, some are for adult and the others are for the adult and children. For example, “panjat pinang” is for adult, “balap kelereng” is forchldren and “balap karung” can be for children and adult.
Then, we also have “jalan sehat”, we usually hold it on Sunday morning, a week before the Independence comes. We have to take a walk around certain area. During the event, we get coupon that is drowned, at the end of the event. “Jalan sehat” also can be comfortably because we can take a walk and heal the fresh air. We can also talk with our friends while we walking. Some cities held that event freely and there are a lot of prizes to win. Often, the prizes are worth things, such as fan, glass, plate, oven, and many others thing. There are a lot of things that we can get from “jalan sehat”, we are not only can get the prizes, but also our body can be healthier than before.
There are several fascinating things that we do to celebrate the Independence Day. We hold flag ceremony, carnivals, games, and “jalan sehat”. We have those kinds of activities, not only to celebrate the Independence Day, but also to commemorate the fallen heroes in defending our country from the invaders. In Independence Day, while we holding those fascinating activities, we also commemorate our heroes’ buffetings. It makes the Independence Day becomes one of the happiest occasion.

There are many people in the world believe that watching TV is a part of their lifestyle. People can spend their time excessively in front of TV. They can even do their activities in front of TV, such as cooking after the guidance from cooking programme on TV, or even purchasing some products from advertisement channel. Even though some people hate TV but actually, instead of wasting time, watching TV can help us to use our time effectively. Therefore, watching TV is not a waste of time because it has two major advantages that are very important for us.
The first advantage is TV can give us a lot of information. We can provide ourselves with knowledge from TV, for example The Discovery Channel. Trough TV, we do not need to open a boring thick encyclopedia. Just stay tune on Discovery Channel, and we know all about wildlife, cell system, even the world history. The other information is the news. Getting the most recent news is very important for us. We should know whether there is a travel warning or not before decide to go abroad. We also need to know the recent news about political issues and who the winner of election is. Information on TV also helps us in our daily life. For example, we do not need to go out from our house to buy a certain product. We just need to order it from the advertisement channel. It saves our time and effectively makes our life easier. Through TV, we obtain fast information that makes our life more comfortable. 
The second advantage is TV provides us with entertainments. TV shows us many kinds of entertainments such as soap opera, music stage, comedy, etc. Basically, we need an entertainment to fulfill our need to reduce our stress. People live with so many businesses every day that can lead to stress. Even the smallest problem such as peer pressure leads to the stressful condition. In this situation, laugh can make us feel better and that is the comedy and the cheap soap opera are for. Besides, watching an entertainment programme on TV is one kind of brain recreations. We should not force our brain to work nonstop in certain problem. Instead of getting an enlightening solution, more often we just out of focus and easily get stress. Like our body, brain also needs refreshment. The experts said that entertainment can make us more focus to reach success. That is because we give a time for our brain to ease and reunite the distracted concentration. By watching TV, we can find a lot of kinds of entertainments that we need.
As you can see, watching TV is considered as a new habit of today’s people. We can spend our time more effectively and it also helps us in our daily activities. We can expand our knowledge trough TV, based on its function as the source of information. Thus, TV is very important for us because it can give a lot of information and amusements. Based on these reason, watching TV is not a waste of time at all. So, keep stay tune.

Have Great Times During
Holiday

Holiday is a long break time which you can use it to refresh your mind. Through holiday you can do your favorite activities, such as bike up to mountain, hiking, fishing, gardening, etc. All of them can’t be done when you are working or studying at school. At the end of semester, there will be a long holiday for three month. It can be boring, happy, but confusing as well. If you feel confusing, what you should doing during holiday, you just need a sense of creativity to walk through holiday. There are some creative activities that you can do during holiday.
Take, for example, earn some money for your pocket money could be fun and promising. The only one thing, you should have is a guts to be shame or to be failed. Get a part time job is both scary and exhausting at the first time, but get your first job done and get a pay for it could burn your spirit to do more job. Pay is not a big deal, even it is big or not, doing part time job is a priceless experience for you. Another needs your talent, but much fun for you. Making some handicraft for sale, for examples make a pair of shoe which you paint as the order. For that reason, you really need a good painting skill to do that. Another thing that you can make is a bag. Make it from unused stuff, like plastic. This job is needed your creativity to make it valuable to be sold. Show your masterpieces to relatives, if they like, they will buy. The last way for making money is education. Make your own private course can be promising. Teaching means you should have a place to do it. Come to your students place, or rent a house to do it. A little bit promotion can support your job. At least, all of them can make you grow up and also support your independent study. Pocket money is no longer problems.
Another example is having a trip with your friends. Having a trip needs a preparation and its planning as well. Manage your trip three month before the final day. Ask your friend for a meeting then pick your destination. Discuss about the whole trip cost. Knowing exactly how much the cost of your trip is an important thing. It is a massive trouble if you run out of money, because of carrying least budget. However, it is a waste if you carrying too much money. Make a budget list could be a big help to maintain a good trip.
Finally, refresh your mind by doing your hobby. Directly do your hobby will harm you especially sports, such as swimming, biking, hiking, running, etc. They need a warm-up before you do it.
A long holiday brings you a lot of time to do everything you want. In other opinion, long holiday can be boring if you don’t have any activities to do. Do not let your time disappear for nothing. There several activities, such as earn some money, plan a trip with your friends, and doing your hobby. Make your holiday worth to remember. Let it be a new story, experiences and a lesson for your life.

Beautiful Flora sights In My Country

My country has some of the most beautiful sights you will ever see. The flora sights which my country has are reminding us of the important role of indonesia as custodian of the most important safehouse of tropical biological biodiversity in the world. We will travel around my country through my description, from west to east to know how my country has so many attractive beautiful flowers as its beautiful flora sights.
Our first destination will start from the very west side, Sumatra, to see Styrax benzoin in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province as the best benzoin-produced tree in the world. There are many kinds of plants that produce aromatic substance, but Styrax benzoin is the best benzoin-producing tree in the world. Benzoin has been the most important commodity from Indonesia since the 8th century. The benzoin plantation has started since 19th century in Sumatra, including Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Although this plant exists in Southest Asian countries and in India, Indonesia has dominated the world market for benzoin, especially the one produced by Styrax benzoin tree. This plant can reach 30 meters in height and 1 meter in diameter of the trunk. The resin of the benzoin produced by wounding the tree trunk, when the tree is about 7 years old. The harvest can last 6 to 7 years until the tree dies. The benzoin is used as a blend of cigarettes, traditional medicines, aromatic, theraphy, perfume, and fragrance in religious ceremonies.
One step to east, we are now in Kalimantan where we will find Dimorphorcis lowii in West Kalimantan Province which is still one of the orchid families. This epiphyte orchid grows hanging on high trees or at the bank of a river. The hanging flowers can reach 3 meters long. It is called dimorphorchis, a Greek word meaning that this orchid can have two kinds of flowers, The first flowers at the stem-base are yellow and the following ones are yellow with dark red spots. The aromatic flower has a diameter of around 6 cm. This orchid is endemic in Kalimantan Island. The name lowii comes from Hugh Low, a British botanist who found this orchid more than 15 centuries ago.
Let us continue our journey to Sulawesi Island to visit South Sulawesi Province to admire Passiflora edulis. One of the well-known souvenirs from passion fruit. The creeping plant was introduced to Indonesia from tropical regions in American continent cultivated for its juicy fruits. Different from its kin planted in Medan, this species has finger-like leaves. The flower is very attractive with yellow and white colours. Its stamen has long stick striped with white and purple colours.
After admiring Passiflora edulis, we will be more amazed by giant orchid in Papua Province, Grammatophyllum speciousum. Dubbed is one of the epiphytes that have huge size in terms of plant and flower, so it is called the Queen of Orchids or Giant Orchid. Since the shape of its knuckles resembles sugar cane, this plant is called Sugarcane Orchid. Its pseudo-branches hang down and can reach 3 to 7 meters long. The flowers, whose number can reach 80, may have the length of up to two meters and clump can weigh one ton. The flowers have various pattern of brown markings which make them more attractive. This plant has small, rigid and upward roots so that they catch the falling manure from the tree on which it grows.
West Java province is the last destination to visit to see Begonia robusta. Begonia usually grows in the moist, tropical and subtropical and subtropical areas. This tropical herb is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. It is of medium size, its stem are soft and watery, often creeping high up to 1 meter, with knuckles and hairs like brush. The leaves are typical for its asymmetrical position, have egg-round shape with sharp edges. The surface of the leaves is covered with red hair, especially on the young ones. This plant is usually found in the moist base area in the forest with proper drainage system. The stem are usually consumed as dish of raw vegetable and as tamarind substitute especially in cooking fish or meat.
The flowers are those which have historically played a dominant role in various sectors such as trade, symbolization, particular uniqueness, garden ornaments, and many others. It is such a pride for my country to depict many varieties of flowers as the beautiful sights of flora you’ll ever see.

The beautiful sights of Kediri

Each city in Indonesia has some beautiful sights to see. Each city is proud of them. Kediri is one of the small and famous cities in East-Java. Without any doubt, Kediri is a famous city since long time ago. Kediri was a Hindu kingdom based in East-Java. The historical remnants scattered around Kediri showing that it had played important roles in many eras, and then almost people and East –Java know well about Kediri. Actually, Kediri has many tourist objects, but there are three places of interests such as; Selomangleng hill, Kelud Mountain, and Maria Lourdes cave, which are proper places for refreshing our mind.
Selomangleng hill is one of the favorite tourist objects in Kediri. It provides some natural sights. We see many trees on the hill and surroundings’ hill. There are two interesting places which provide some historical remnants of Kediri kingdom around the Selomangleng hill area. Those are Selomangleng cave and Airlangga museum. Selomangleng cave in Javanese means a cave which stands on the slope of the hill. Selo means rock, mangleng means slope or sideways. Inside this cave we can find many relief which carved all over the wall. This cave was used by Dewi Kilisuci as meditation place. Dewi Kilisuci is Airlangga’s daughter. The Airlangga museum is located near Selomangleng cave. This museum has many kinds of ancient collections, like artifact, ancient inscription, and etc. Many tourists visit Selomangleng hill because this place has some interesting objects, which decrease our exhausted and the natural sights can be inspirations for the visitor.
The next beautiful sight of Kediri is Kelud Mountain. This mountain area is about forty kilometers, and forty-five minutes from Kediri city. Kelud Mountain is volcano and it is one thousand seven hundred thirty meters above sea level. Breezes of fresh air and charming sights make this area more interesting for tourism adventuring and health purpose. Kelud mountain is in strategic place, it is among three regencies such as; Kediri regency, Blitar regency, and Malang regency. Well, the nearest city from this mountain is Kediri regency, it is about forty kilometers. In historical notes, this mountain had erupted twenty-nine times. Kelud mountain has change, it had green crater before explode, but today the beautiful crater is gone and turn up new crater that different from the previous. Then Kelud Mountain has a new face with new dome that comes from the crater, it is more beautiful than before. In Kelud mountain area we can enjoy some activities such as; swimming, jogging, climbing, shady cool plantation, and etc. There is a special warm swimming pool. The warm swimming pool is located near the mountain, the water in this swimming pool is taken from the well spring near the crater, and it relaxes our body. Therefore, many tourists choose this tourist object because it’s enjoyable and its composure.
Another famous tourist object in Kediri is Maria Lourdes cave. It is about six kilometers and about fifteen minutes from Kediri city, it is situated in the west of Kediri city. We can see the height Maria Lourdes statue there, this statue was replica from the highest Maria Lourdes statue at France. Around Maria Lourdes cave area our eyes are spoiled by the natural sights, some antique buildings and many ornaments that can be found there. There are twelve douches around the cave, which are symbolized of twelve catholic’s messengers, and there is a unique old church combining Europe and Majapahit architectures. This old church had built by Ir. Heendricus Maclaine on behalf pioneer Mr. Yohaness Humbertis Wolters CM. Anyway, this place is catholic’s area and it is opened for tourist object, the visitors are not only for the members of catholic, but also for tourists and mankind. Many tourists visit this places because its uniqueness and its preciousness.
In conclusion, all of these tourist object; Selomangleng hill, Kelud Mountain, and Maria Lourdes cave are the interesting places provided by Kediri regency. These are the most visited place. Kediri regency always tries to give a good service for every tourist, and to improve Kediri regency the civil has been evolving the tourist objects in Kediri.

Superb Features in East Java

A lot of countries in the world get their main income from tourism, including Indonesia. My country, Indonesia, is well-known for its wonderful natural beauty, unique people, and traditions. People throughout the world come to Indonesia just to see those features, which they will not find in any other countries. I can proudly say that my country has some of the most beautiful sight you will ever see in nature, people, and traditions, especially in East Java.

First of all, East Java has many beautiful natural objects that are frequently visited by tourists, either domestic or foreign. The dominant natural features in East Java are mountains, beaches, and waterfalls. Bromo Mountain, located in Lumajang, is the most visited mountain in Indonesia which is famous for its magnificent sunrise panorama. The tourists usually ride horses or walk through a broad land of sands up to the crater before dawn in order to watch the golden sun soar behind the clouds and the mountains; that view is remarkably wonderful. From the mountain, we can go down to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, Sendang Biru beach in Malang.  The bay with white smooth sands, translucent calm water where tiny fish swim here and there, some scattered rocks, Sempu Island by the mouth of the bay, and fishermans village make Sendang Biru beach become one of the most visited objects when you come to East Java. Another spot that you should come over to is Coban Rondo waterfall in Batu, where you can enjoy the cool weather around the 60 meters height waterfall. Those three natural tourist object are just few of the whole natural beauty that you can find in East Java, but there are more captivating places that I cannot mention one by one.

Not only in natural beauty, East Java is also renowned for its unique people. Even though the majority is Javanese, but there are also some other ethnic groups in several regions such as Madurese people in Madura Island, Tengger people around Tengger Mountans, and Osing people in Banyuwangi. As Indonesia’s cultural heritage, the variety of ethnic groups is an asset to invite tourists, especially foreign tourists.  A lot of tourists come to certain region just to mingle with the folks there, to take a time off from their daily city life. They want to feel a different atmosphere by living among another ethnic group in which they do not belong to, and that feeling is sometimes indescribable.  Some do that kind of activity while conducting a research about the ethnic life, and some other do that for recreation. Not merely live among the ethnic group, the tourists may also learn everything about the society; the language, the art, the traditions, and many others. Accordingly, the diversity of ethnic groups is also an important allure for the tourism of East Java.

The diversity of ethnic groups leads into numerous traditions; this includes traditional dances. The most famous traditional dance from East Java is Reog Ponorogo. The background story of this dance is about a battle between the army of Kediri and Ponorogo Empire to fight over a princess. The main dancer wears a huge mask resembling the spirit with a head of a tiger and huge peacock-tail crown, while the others wear black costumes resembling the army. This dance is so beautiful and popular that Malaysia claimed it several months ago, alleged that it was their Barongan Dance. Another famed dance is Remo Dance from Jombang, which is usually performed as a welcome dance, accompanied by gamelan music. The most noticeable characteristic of this dance is the dynamic and quick movement of the dancers’ feet, which wear lots of chimes. Those two examples are only a small part of East Java’s traditions. Evidently, the traditions in contribute a large amount of attractions that make this East Java one of Indonesia’s most visited provinces.

From the preceding explanation, I bet even if you spend a whole year in East Java, you will not get bored because you will always have another place to visit, another sight to see, and another fact to discover. You really should come to my province when you visit Indonesia, and find yourself astonished from the start till the very end.

The Precious Lebaran

Lebaran comes, everyone is happy. That first sentence probably is the best statement to depict how precious Lebaran is. Muslims all over the world are looking forward the day which only comes once a year. Lebaran Day means the day of happiness, when Muslims finally find their winning moment since they have to do fasting which is interpreted as a struggle in a whole month. We must not eat and drink almost a whole day when we fast and we have to be more patient since any anger could make our fast imperfect. Thus, we can say that reaching the perfect Lebaran Day needs full of effort. Since Lebaran Day is a winning day, everyone prepares a lot of things to celebrate Lebaran Day, such as: clothes, food, and even the house decoration. Lebaran is really happiest occasion due to three major reasons.

The first thing that makes Lebaran becomes totally precious is the Almighty God’s blessing. Lebaran is the day about being spotless because of forgiveness. People will ask forgiveness for all of their guilt to families, friends, and even everyone who has hurt because of them. It will be imperfect if people only ask for forgiveness since it only means one-sided forgiveness; thus, they also need to excuse other’s mistakes, let bygones be bygones, and forget all the past. People will complete the blessing of Lebaran by their pure heart as they have no vengeance left to others and the heart purity will lead them becoming better people to start their brand new life again.

Extraordinary things such as special clothes, special menu, and even special house decoration would be the second thing that makes up the elation in Lebaran Day. It is well-known that couple of days before Lebaran, people crowd into market to purchase new clothes. Moreover, they also prepare special menu, for instances: ketupat and opor ayam. People mostly cook ketupat and opor ayam as both foods are commonly known as symbols of Lebaran Day. The unique thing also happens in people’s houses when Lebaran comes as people redecorate their house in order to feel the perfectly feature of Lebaran Day. They hang many replicas of ketupat on the wall and also the banner of wishing a Lebaran Day. The house decoration is not the last special thing society have in Lebaran Day as there is another special thing, pocket money. Pocket money becomes great news for children as adults commonly give them money and the aim of giving pocket money is to share the euphoria in Lebaran Day. Therefore, there are many extraordinary things we have in Lebaran Day.

Besides the God’s bless and extraordinary things, there is one big thing left, that is family’s gathering since it is a kind of tradition in Lebaran Day. Most people take time going back to their hometown. The only purpose of going back to hometown is gathering with the whole family since people rarely gather with their whole family in work days. The distance, of course, is not a big matter for them. Chat, joke, and laugh fulfill the whole day. Hence, Lebaran becomes a day to gather with family.

All in all, Lebaran is everything about special things as we would have special clothes, special menu, and special day for the whole family. Everyone loves Lebaran day and everyone will start a brand new life as all of the mistakes are forgiven, happiness are shared, and extraordinary things accompany the day. Lebaran is truly happiest occasion ever.

Beautiful Sights to Visit in Indonesia

In the world, there are many beautiful sights that make many people interest to visit especially in holiday. One of them is Indonesia, the ultimate places to visit when you want to have a perfect holiday. Indonesia is the biggest archipelago in Indonesia the world which offers splendid beaches and fabulous island. From the extraordinary to super extraordinary panoramas, friendly people, and unique culture, will be able to delight and amuse each individual to come. It is no doubt that my country has some of the most beautiful sights that you will ever see such as the examples below that spread from Sabang to Merauke.

Starting from the Western part of Indonesia, Sumatera Island, you could visit many interesting places. One of them is Toba Lake which is one of the biggest and most famous lakes in Indonesia. This place is beautiful and it is located in North Sumatera. This lake is very unique because there is an island in the center of this lake. The name of that island is Samosir. An additional place is Way Kambas which is a place to reserve elephants. It is the only one elephant reservation in Indonesia which is located in Lampung. You could see directly many elephants live naturally in their habitat. Some of the elephants are trained to do some attractions that amuse many tourists who see their attractions. In that case, Toba Lake and Way Kambas is always interesting to visit in your holiday.

The next part that you could visit in Indonesia is Java Island. Java also has many interesting places such as Bromo and Borobudur. Bromo in East Java has a beautiful sunrise that makes many tourists mesmerized and interested to visit it. The majority of Bromo’s people are Hindu and every each year they always celebrate Galungan. To celebrate Galungan, they have a special ceremony called Kasodo. Bromo’s people believe that Kasodo could save them from disaster. Another interesting place is Borobudur in Magelang, Central Java. Borobudur is one of the biggest Buddist Temples in the world which constructed from big stones. It was built in the 9th century. It is easy to find this place because it is near from Yogyakarta. This temple is very high and has unique architecture. Because of that, Borobudur used to be one of World Wonder. If you like to journey to religious tourism places, both Bromo and Borobudur are best choice for you.

Finally, we go to the Eastern part of Indonesia which has many beautiful sights. One of them is Bunaken Nasional Marine Park in North Sulawesi. From the name, you actually know that the most beautiful part of this place is under the sea. In Bunaken, you can find that this place is harbor of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world because there are many species of the sea creatures such as corals, fish, and sponges. It is perfect place for the tourists who like diving. The next icon is Komodo Island in NTT. In this place, you can see the biggest reptile in the world, Komodo, which can not be found in another place. Due to that, this island is named after the name of this reptile, Komodo Island. Recently, Komodo Island becomes a finalist of the New 7 Wonder of nature. If you like quiet situation and far from the city noise so both of them are the right place for relaxing.

In conclusion, Indonesia has many beautiful places that spread from Sabang to Merauke such as Toba Lake, Way Kambas, Bromo, Borobudur, Bunaken and Komodo Island. When you start for planning vacation to my country why you do not choose one of them becomes one of your targets. I think that is the right choice for you.

The Great Advantages of Speaking More Than One Language

Language is what makes us human. It is a medium we use to share our thoughts with the world. We live in the world wherever we turn around there is always someone of a different ethnicity, culture, race, and language. Although there are differences of language in the world, a lot of people not only speak their own language. A lot of people are multilingual; they speak more than one language. They speak more than one language because it is a great advantage of people. Speaking more than one language is a great advantage because of four reasons.

First of all, speaking more than one language can help us to find a better job. Speaking more than one language may increase our chances of finding a better job. Most of the top businesses need to connect to the different country such as their manufactories in Indonesia, India, or China. They need the people who have ability to communicate with others. If we can speak more than one language, we get more opportunities to get into the companies. Beside that, we also have a lot of opportunities in the service industry as well. Call centers are always actively looking for people who can speak more than one language. Apart from that, preference is given to doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who can speak more than one language. It helps to build trust and loyalty of the patients as well. It means better diagnosis and better communication between the medical staffs and the patients. Overall the companies or other professional fields prefer those who can speak at least one foreign language. We should try to learn more than one language if we want to find a better job.

Second, speaking more than one language can help us to find many friends in the world. If we can speak more than one language, it is easier to travel, meet people, and make friends. We will meet many more people and find it much easier to get around when we travel. Apart from that, when we move to a foreign country, we will face different customs and way of living. In order to better understand the culture and way of thinking, it is very helpful to speak the local language. If we can speak their language, we will get many friends easier because people are much more receptive if we make an effort to speak their language. We should learn more than one language if we want to find many friends in the world.

Third, speaking more than one language can help us to know more things in the world. If we understand other languages, we can get to see and to know more things than the people who only know one language. We can learn the newest knowledge when the numerous books, magazines, and journals are printed in foreign languages if we can speak more than one language. On the other hand, if we love to play the games from foreign countries, most of the games are only available in their original language. We can understand the instructions if we understand those language. We should understand foreign language if we want to learn and know more things in the world.

Finally, speaking more than one language can help us to have open- minded. If we understand other languages, we will have open-minded than others. Because of the internet and convenient transportation, the worlds become flat. Everyone can easily connect to outside their country also people will receive more information outside their country. If we can understand their language, we have the better chance to understand their life and value. Since we become more flexible and comfortable listening and receiving other’s point of view, we will become more open-minded in different aspects. We should learn more than one language if we want to have open-minded and broader experience.

In conclusion, speaking more than one language is a great advantage for people. In globalization era, communication becomes an important activity. People speak in many languages to communicate to each other. Thus, speaking more than one language is beneficial because of three reasons.
First of all, it is easy to find job by speaking more than one language. At international company, there are many vacancy which is open for a person who speaks more than one language. Interpreter, translator, secretary, public relation are examples of job which is open for a person who speak more than one language. But also working in international company, working as a teacher is a good example for person who speaks more than one language. Working as a teacher is one of prospect for many international schools that increase rapidly. Off course, they need teachers who speak more than one language. Besides working as teacher, working in language courses is also an opportunity. Many people need to improve themselves by mastering second or third language. In short, courses need a person who speaks more than one language to teach them. Travel guides who speak second, third, more languages are necessity at travel agencies. For tourism objects, which are everywhere and visited by many people from many languages, travel guides who speak more than one language are necessity. Thus, working as travel guides also an opportunity for those who speak more than one language. In order to make easy to find job, it is recommended to study more than one language. There are many vacancies which is need people who speak more than one language for at company, teacher, travel guide and the other job. In other words, mastering two or more languages enable to find job easily.
The other reason why speaking more than one language is beneficial is getting many friends for people who speak in many languages such as English, France, Indonesia and the other language. Speaking by native tongue is understandable than using different language. When speaking at business meeting or in seminar to people who speaks with foreign language mastering native tongue of business partner makes easy to make business partner understand what is wanted. At the party using various languages will makes two people from different country understand what his or partner want to talk.
The last argument why speaking more than one language is beneficial is being easy to get new knowledge. New knowledge that we can find, at conference, internet, journal, and the other media is written in foreign languages. mastering second, third and the other language is the best way to do study in foreign country. In foreign country, teaching and learning process using different language from native tongue. To make teaching and learning process easy to understand, mastering second, third and the other languages is must. In other words, mastering other language is important to get new knowledge.
Mastering second, third and the other language has many advantages. Those are easy to get new knowledge, have many friend and easy to find job. In order word, speaking more than one language is beneficial.

          Television is one of the greatest inventions in the world. For modern people, television has also become an important thing in their life. When people have a free time, some people prefer multitasking rest that is to spend their free time efficiently doing more than one thing at the same time, for instance, we can cook a dinner, watch television and talk to our family. Most people cannot imagine their rest without television. Television is a great entertaining invention. It gives us different knowledge and information. Television is also an efficient educational tool for students who are studying foreign languages. For these three reasons, we can say that watching television is not a waste of time.
          For instance, television is a great relaxation tool. When people go home after they have a hardworking, of course they want to relax. They will turn on their television to watch a funny comedy to make they laugh and happy. In addition, they can also listen to the music in order to give a good feeling for their heart. They can watch movies or sports entertainments to decrease their stressful. TV has a mysterious ability to entertain people all around the world. through watching movies ,sport or music people can get rid of their daily difficulties at works and enjoy themselves .Also children can get entertain by means of cartoons serials such as Mickey Mouse or comic shows like Mr. Been or children movies such as ‘ Alice in the wonderful land’.
          Another example of the beneficial of watching television is that television is a good source of information. For many of us the television is our first or only source of news and current events. Most channels have news updates up to four times a day and current affairs programs which take a deeper look at the news that has affected the world that day or that week. These programs are often family friendly and are sometimes the only form of media available or easy to understand for children or non-speakers of English. These news shows keep people up to date on the outside world it is possible to know everything that happened in a day without even going outside. It allows people to have different kinds of information in easy way. For example, people can get information about health, weather, and technology in the same afternoon. For instance, just by press the remote control. People will get information in different languages and different things.
         The most significant example of watching television is that television is a valuable educational tool for students, moreover students who are studying foreign languages. By watching television, students can train their ability in listening and speaking. Students can learn how to pronounce the words correctly. In addition, they will know about the foreign cultures and foreign traditions. Such channels as, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, National Geographic Channel and Travel Channel introduce us historical events, scientific discoveries, beautiful places of interests, distant countries, incredible resources of human body, life of wild animals and other treasures of our amazing earth. Many people who cannot afford university or night courses or simply just want a basic knowledge of one particular subject or event will use documentaries to satisfy their desire for learning.
         In sum, I think that watching television is having a great activity. Television however has advantages as illustrated in this essay. It is not only helps us to relax, but also gives us different knowledge and trains our ability in listening and speaking. However, I do believe that watching television is not a waste of time.

Pare is a useful place

Pare, I think that word is common for someone who likes English very much. Pare is the name of district. It begins popular when an English course built. The first course built is BEC (Basic English Course) in a small village, Tulungrejo. Now, there are a lot of English courses, I think more than 90 courses, at the same village. Many people come to Pare from different parts of Indonesia. Starting from Medan, Lampung, Padang, Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Cirebon, Indramayu, Jogja, Semarang, Blora, Solo, Surabaya, Madiun, Malang,Bali, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Samarinda, Manado, Palu, Ambon, Nusa Tenggara,etc. We could not only study English, but also meet a lot of people from different places.
Study English is not difficult if we do it regularly. Pare is the right place to learn about it because everyday we always practice it. Although we understand about grammar, it isn’t easy to have a good conversation. The situation of Pare is comfortable to everyone who wants to learn and have more practices about English. Many courses are in Pare and we are forced to talk in English language to other citizens. If we do not want to talk in English, we should not have a chat with them. In one row of a street, there are more than 13 courses and they are face to face. That’s the reason why we call it as “Kampoeng Inggris”.
If we want to go there and stay, we do not have to have a lot of money because living in Pare is not expensive. As you know the price for rent a room in a month is around 50.000 rupiahs until 120.000. It price has already completed with the facilities such as: water, bed, shelf, pillow. If we bring another equipments like as, computer, rice cooker, we should pay more, a little bit more. For the price of food, it is almost just 2000 rupiahs we could get a nice food, rice, vegetables and tempe. We also can cook by ourselves if we want to save our money more. We can go to traditional market because it is near. The weather is so friendly; it is not so hot as like Jakarta and not so cold as like Bandung. It is anice place to stay.
Beside we can study English, we also can take vacation in Pare. There are some places that we can visit and it can refresh our mind also. First, we can visit Square park which is located around 3 km from BEC. There is a Cave, but I forget the name, around 4 km to west from BEC. If we go there, we should not bring valuable things because the cave is filled by water. If we want to swim, we can go to “corah”, the name of swimming pool. Pare has a Temple, a small temple, also I forget the name. One place that we should write in our vacation’s list as it is the nice place to have a holiday.
Pare is a useful place. That’s the place we can study English and take the holiday. Also, we can meet different people from different parts of Indonesia. If you have free time, I suggest you to go there and try to stay there.

Indonesian Amazing Tourist Objects

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world. Everything in this country, especially the nature, is wonderful. All of its natural resources are worth seeing. Its islands, mountains, lakes and any other places should be visited during ones visit in Indonesia. These three tourism objects, Gili Trawangan Island, Mount Bromo and Toba Lake, would give views about the beauty of Indonesia nature.

The first place to visit is Gili Trawangan Island that represents the majority of Indonesia small islands. Its white-sandy beach, blue ocean and local heritages make Gili Trawangan as a wonderful island in Indonesia. The white-sandy beach is very natural because no motorized vehicles allowed in the island. More over, unlike Kuta Beach Bali, Gili Trawangan beach is far from the road. Tourists can take Cidomo, a Lombok traditional cart, horse riding or walk to get around the island and enjoy the scenery. To get around the island when the sunset will be fantastic since people can catch the sunset over Mount Agung Bali. Besides that, the underwater scenery is also wonderful. Its coral and marine life can be seen easily by diving, snorkeling or glass-bottom boat. Even though tourists can do anything during their holiday freely, they still have to respect the local people, for example by not being topless. Because the local people is still keep the norms. People who have visited it said that this island is the paradise among other islands in this country. It is no doubt if ones visit Gili Trawangan, he/she will not be disappointed of it.

The next tourism object, which worth visiting, is Mount Bromo. It gives the tourists remarkable view of an active volcanic mount. Because it has double craters (there is another crater inside the main crater) and the sea sand that covered it. The society around it, named Tengger Tribe, offers horse riding to the tourist as one of option to pass the sea of sand besides walking. Annually, Tengger Tribe held a festival named Kasada on the caldera and the peak of Mount Bromo. It is hold at the full moon in kasodo month (the tenth month on Javanese calendar, usually on December or January) from midnight up to dawn. It is a festival which grateful for God’s blessing. Watching the festival directly while waiting for the sunrise would be fascinating. In addition, they can get the wide view of Mount Bromo and its caldera from Cemoro Lawang, the entrance of Bromo National Park. They may have camping also in Cemoro Lawang. That will make the trip to Mount Bromo worth remembering.

Another tourist object that should not be neglected is Toba Lake. Toba, the biggest lake in South East Asia, is obviously beautiful. It comes from a massive volcanic eruption which created a large crate long time ago. As time goes by, the crate was filled up with water and the magma energy push the ground up to be an island. Those make the amazement of Toba Lake undoubted. The Samosir Island, mountainous view and the local food are the reasons for people to visit it. Tourists can do several things such as kayaking, fishing and visiting some magnificient sites. While enjoying the scenery, tourists can also try dali, arsik, naniura, or sayur tumbuk daun singkong, the local culinary from Batak Tribe. Buying Ulos Cloth, one of local arts, as a gift is suggested. Because it is the original cloth from Batak and cannot be found in any other places. It also complete our visit to the wonderful Toba Lake.

Those three places that have been described above could assure ones who wants to visit Indonesia. There are local heritages and natural views in each tourist object in Indonesia. Person who have been visited a lot of places in the world said that Indonesia is the most unique and beautiful. You would find new different things by visiting Indonesia. So, it is undoubted that visiting Indonesia would give new experiences and show different natural sights for us.

Some Improvements to Make This University Better
In order to be a good institution, improvements and developments are required to fulfill the criteria to be a good university. For example, Universitas Negeri Malang or well-known as UM has made some improvements and developments in various kinds of aspects in order to be a good university. By some developments and improvements made, this 55 year old institution has transformed into a well-developed university. On that very long period, the authorities improved this university based on three main aspects; those are bureaucracy, infrastructures, and human resources. These three aspects are still considered by them to expand our institution because of some reasons.
The first factor is bureaucracy or generally known as administration. Bureaucracy is the collective organizational structure, procedures, protocols, and set of regulations in place to manage activities in such kinds of institution. Bureaucracy is the most important thing that this university should think about. Because it handles everything which related with rules or policies that allowed in this university. Moreover, a simple and well-managed administration inside UM is going to make this body become strong and stable. Since, that kind of bureaucracy ensures UM to control everything that lies under its authorities.
Furthermore, this developing institution needs to consider about facilities inside its authority. Infrastructure is the facilities necessary for some purposes. To construct a well-structured university, UM needs to maximize and improve its facilities not only from the quantity, but also from its quality. As the number of the students in this university is increasing continuously, the authorities should think about the infrastructures quantity to accommodate their students. Also, the developments in quantity have to be followed by its level of quality. Besides, the adequate facilities and infrastructures in UM will make it turn into an independent university. Because, UM will have everything provided to generate its own need.
Lastly, those two aspects described above have to be maintained by excellent human resources inside UM. Meanwhile, in this globalization era, the requirement of good human resources must to be fulfilled by all of the institutions all over the world to compete or, at least, survive among the others. Also, Professor Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “The greatest tragedy in America is not the destruction of our natural resources, though that tragedy is great. The truly great tragedy is the destruction of our human resources by our failure to fully utilize our abilities, which means that most men and women go to their graves with their music still in them.” Because of that reasons, the authorities must have nor a neither some comprehensive selections in order to achieve good human resources. Good human resources will manage this university in a good-managed way.
In conclusion, there are still many other aspects to be watched over besides those three improvements and developments described above. But, three of them are required to be fulfilled by the authorities to assist this university, at least, to compete to be a well-developed university. Then, those improvements and developments will not work well if everyone inside this university doesn’t have the same vision.

Jember’s Beautiful Sights

Most towns in East Java have beautiful sights to see. It could be either the natural tourism or the architecture of the town. Having the natural tourism is such a fortune since it is a gift from God that especially cannot be asked. However, the town’s architecture shows how the characteristic of the citizens are that can be organized. Usually, citizens of a town proud of the beautiful sights their town has, such as in my hometown. People, who live in my hometown, Jember, also proud of the beautiful sights my hometown have, though they are not only proud of but also keep its everlasting. Therefore, Jember, one of the many towns in East Java, has the most beautiful sights you will ever see; mountain of Argopuro, Center Park, and Papuma’s beach.

At the first time, you come into Jember, you will catch sight of Argopuro’s Mountain. It has such wonderful views that will be unforgettable. The woodland is still in its natural state and has not been used or changed by many people. The trees are growing in a huge size. You can meet weeds field that is really green, small river that its water stream down calmly, and also pine forest. In addition, there are some places called Taman Hidup’s Lake, Embek’s swamp, White’s River have its own unique vegetation. Taman Hidup’s Lake is a large campground where you can meet jungle pigs, mouse deer, and small antelope. Inside the lake, many fishes are living so that you can do fishing. Similarly, Embek’s swamp is a large area consisting river that the water is still flowing even though in dry season. Besides, edelweiss can be found in White’s River. Furthermore, do not be wondered if you see some monkeys are dancing in the trees. The chirping of birds adds the outstanding views. Next, in the top of this mountain, there is a remarkable peak. It is commonly called as Rengganis’s Peak. There are lime stones making this peak look so white, sulphur, holy place having stairs, and fungus. What an unforgettable views to be there! Those are all the more reasons for you to hike and notice the gorgeous sights of Argopuro’s Mountain.

After passing a drive-through Mountain of Argopuro, you will meet Jember’s Center Park waiting to be visited. The sight of the center park is really romantic, especially at night. There are many sparkling lamps in the both road and buildings. Music is played also there. It is not surprised that you can be asleep while you are staring at the center park. Jember’s center park has a green vast area that is consist of many courts for play. Everyday this area is always cleaned in order to keep clean, fresh, and nice-looking. All facilities are in apple-pie-order so that it makes a good sense of looking. There is still one thing you will not find in another town; Hawaii concept. Palm trees are standing brawnily, paving area is waiting nicely, and the wind is blowing lightly. Based on my experience in visiting other East Java’s center parks, Jember’s center park is the most exciting place having romantic views.

On the north of the center park, five miles from the town, an attractive beach named Papuma is located. Papuma’s beach has natural and exotic sceneries. Different from other beaches’ sand, Papuma’s sand is really clean and white. It looks like that the beach is still original. You are going to see the beautiful blue both the sea and the sky. The blue sea will tease you to bring your legs, at least, into its water. Moreover, this is a sexy bay decorated many unusual corals, leafy trees, and great waves. Boats are available also if you are willing to take a journey on the sea. Another way to see the wonderful sceneries is visiting The Sitihinggil’s Tower. That is a tower that can be used to see sceneries of Papuma’s beach from the top. Moreover, when you are in fortune, you are able to see either Cicak Hijau’s birds or pythons. It does not matter whether you are good in taking photos or not. Taking photo of Papuma’s beach will always be fantastic shoots since it has fantastic views from all other sides. I personally could say that Papuma’s beach is more beautiful than other beaches, even the well-known beach is in Bali.

Is there any others town in East Java that has such wonderful mountain, romantic town, and exotic beach? I do not think so if there is a better town that has those advantages except Jember. You should believe that Jember will give such beautiful views that you will miss to be left.
